Members' Favourite Photographs of the Month: December 2024
The votes have been counted and...
There were 70 entries on the theme of "Squares and Triangles” and 37 PlusONE photographs featuring a wide range of approaches and subjects. Many thanks, as always, to everyone who submitted photographs and to the 25 people who voted.
Squares & Triangles
The most popular theme photograph was Andrew Scott’s very colourful “Electro Rainbow” and the joint second favourites were Phil Heading’s photo of the equally colourful Paarmint Church and Ken Cannell’s intriguing "School of Geometry”.
Plus One
The most popular PlusONE photograph was Peter Carroll’s “A token in the Steam” featuring a Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway 7F 2-8-0 steam locomotive and the second favourite was Anne Willmott’s charming portrait of “Clarence”.
The current theme is “At Least Five Colours”.
The first meeting of 2025 will be held on Thursday January 9th when we will hold our AGM followed by a presentation by Graham Elliott on Eastern Europe entitled “Behind the Iron Curtain” and a review of the project entries.
Season’s greetings to one and all.

Club Meeting Report: December 2024
Yesterday night (12th December) the club held its last meeting of 2024 when about 30 stalwarts viewed the theme and PlusONE images that had been submitted and enjoyed an evening of convivial socialising accompanied by seasonal refreshments and a rolling review of the PlusONE photos submitted during the year.
The theme of “Squares & Triangles” generated an interesting range of interpretations and these can be viewed on the website. Please take a moment to view these - and the PlusONE pictures.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday January 9th 2025 at 7:00pm when the club’s AGM will take place followed by a presentation by Graham Elliott featuring photographs taken behind the Iron Curtain.
Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to one and all.
